Neil Spencer: Owner and Automotive upholsterer 

Neil has vast experience in the upholstery industry, stemming from a lifelong background in a family of upholsterers. 

Formerly a professional British infantry soldier, he left with an exemplary medical discharge after being wounded by a suicide truck bomb. Subsequently spent over a decade working at Leisuretrim in Ponthir, a specialist automotive upholstery business founded by his late father in 1990. 

After leaving the upholstery world in 2015, he spent the next 9 years working as a drayman delivering the beer kegs, but realised where his true passion was and in 2024, he resigned to establish Hoods and stitches Newport.

Selina Spencer: Customer service advisor

Neil's wife Selina joined the team last year, bringing extensive experience from numerous years in customer service and computer roles having worked within SSCL and HMRC. She ensures seamless office operations by managing our customer appointments and business accounts.
